A solo show of paintings by Midlands artist Annette Pugh. Inspired by 18th century engravings of waterfalls, and by amateur photography of the 1950s, this exhibition provides a modern twist to traditionally “picturesque” landscapes, depicting them with the heightened colour of early postcards.
Graham Chorlton, Angela Maloney and Annette Pugh will be exhibiting in Coventry Drawing Prize. The exhibition is showing over two sites, The Class Room Gallery in Coventry and The Blue Door Gallery in Earlsdon.
This project and resulting exhibition forms part of a collaboration between Annette Pugh, RBSA and Sense. It follows on from ‘Connecting Creatively’ a ground breaking project for the Society in 2018. Sense is a national charity (charity no. 289868) that supports people who have complex communication needs and helps them to enjoy more independent lives.
Annette Pugh’s exhibition ‘ORNAMENT’ will open on Tues 27th Nov, 2018 at Reuben Colley Fine Art. Selected Paintings from this collection are currently on display in an exhibition @BM_AG and the whole collection will be available to view when this solo show officially opens. Please contact RCFA for further details and events associated with this exhibition.
Annette Pugh and James Byrne are currently showing in major exhibition between Reuben Colley Fine Art and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
